FORKS — The Spartans' Janessa Ramos stopped numerous Ocosta shots in a tight defensive soccer battle as Forks fell to the Wildcats 1-0 on Monday. Coach Tracy Gillette said Ramos deserved a shout out for her effort. 'Last night was tough, but great,' Gillette said. 'The entire team worked well together and kept fighting until the end.' Forks was coming off its best game of the year, a 4-1 win over the weekend against LaConner. Maria Francisco, Julia Raupp and Katelynn Wallerstedt scored goals. Marysleidy Hernandez-Beltran scored after her own penalty kick.
